Aplinx Survey PlannerShort DescriptionSurvey Planner has been created so that, as an admin user, you may create and edit Internet based surveys and questionnaires, then collect and analyse respondent's data and in due course, integrate elements of this data into your existing website and Internet strategy. On this page: Inserting Surveys onto Pages in your websiteHow toInserting a Survey onto a Page/Masterpage in an Aplinx WebsiteThe main methods that may be used to integrate a Survey into an existing website are described here. When creating a link to surveys (using any of the methods described) first identify the survey 'Source'. To do this, enter the Portal containing the Survey in question by selecting the EDIT PORTAL button for that Portal. Under each Survey name in the Portal, is a URL. Copy the URL for the desired Survey and use this when creating the link. When accessing a live survey, it should appear in its own window, similar to that shown below: PLEASE NOTE: if a survey is Offline, it will appear blank in the page to all users when accessed. Only Live surveys will appear to users when accessed. This is true when accessed by all of these methods.Main Menu LinkLinking to a survey in the main menu of an Aplinx website may be achieved by one of the following methods.
Image LinkImages, placed on a page, may be used as links to other pages or to the survey itself. When editing or uploading an image to an Aplinx website, insert URL for the survey into the LINK text field. Please Note: links on images that have been created in this manner will not work when the image has been inserted into an article. For information on creating a link on an image that has been placed into an article, please see Article Editor - Images. Popup/New Windows or Regular Page LinksThis method allows the Survey to open in a new window as a stand alone object via a regular text or image link. To create a Popup, New Window or Regular page link, create a link inside an article. The article sould then be placed onto a page, allowing access to survey users. For information on creating a link of this type please see Article Editor - Insert Link. IframeAn Iframe allows the Survey to exist within a page or Masterpage, surrounded (as per the layout of the page/Masterpage) by the main website design. The page containing the Survey may then be accessed as a normal page within the website. The image below shows one example of a survey inside an Iframe on a page/Masterpage. For information on creating an Iframe in an Aplinx website, see Miscellaneous - Iframer. When entering the Height of a new Iframe, some trial and error may be required (setting heights and viewing results on a page/Masterpage) as the Iframe's height can vary greatly upon how many questions are on each page of the Survey used. Please ensure that survey users will be able to see the BACK, NEXT and SUBMIT buttons for all surveys displayed. Please Note:
