The completion of this function could potentially take a long time if you have a lot of hyperlinks or emails in your site. The time taken to run this test will take even longer if the links/domains being tested are not responding or are invalid. Please be patient.

You may only use the Site Checker ONCE per day.

Accessing Site Checker

To access the site checker you must be logged in with the administrator toolbar visible at the top of the screen.

Select the button from the administrator toolbar to load the Applications menu on the left of your screen.
From the tools menu select 'Site Checker'.

The Site Checker will load in the same window.

Validating Links

To validate links in your website, access the Site Checker and select the 'Validate Links' button.

Validation will go through every article, object and product in your system looking for Hyperlinks such as http://google.com.au and check to see that the hyperlink is valid.

Validate Emails

As part of the site checker, a test will also be run to see that the domain part of an email address is valid. For an email such as "john.citizen@domain.country" the checker will make sure that domain.country exists.

The Site Checker Report

After all links in your site have been checked, a report will be produced. It will list all links in your website and on which article they appear. If a link did not validate, this will also show in the report.

Links will not validate when there is no actual page at the URL address given in the link. These are called broken links.

We recommend either making a copy of, or printing this report to repair any broken links.
