Image Slideshow
Short Description
Image Slideshow allows you to add a rotating sequence of images to your website. It can be used to display products, advertise business locations or simply attract the attention of visitors. Any images can be used, however images with small file sizes that have the same width and height load faster and look more professional. The Rotation Time must also to be set. This is the time each image is displayed for before the next image replaces it. Image rotation can be random or in a set order.

How to
Creating an Image Slideshow
To create an image slideshow you must be logged in with the administrator toolbar visible at the top of your screen. Click the button in the administrator toolbar to open the content menu.
Select Image Slideshow from the content menu. The Image Slideshow Manager will load in the same window.
Any existing Image Slideshows will appear in the table. Select 'Add Slide-show' from the Manager menu on the left of the screen.

Enter a Title that will appear in the Manager. The number entered in the Rotation box represents the time, in seconds, that each image will appear for. Ticking the Randomize box will mix up the order by which the images rotate. The default rotates the selected images in the order they are added to the Image Slideshow. |

Selecting Images For the Slideshow
Select 'Pick' to open the Images folder - for information on uploading pictures see Images. In the Image Manager each image will now have a 'Select' button above it. Choose the first image to be displayed in the slideshow by clicking 'Select'.
Each object in the image Manager has an object ID number, followed by a line showing the location of the image in the database. Clicking 'Select' will insert this location into the textbox at the bottom of the 'New Image Slideshow' box.

The page will refresh showing the first image selected.

Repeat these steps for additional images. Make sure to click 'Add Image' every time. When 'Randomize' is not selected, images in the slideshow will appear in the order by which they have been added. To remove an image from the slideshow select the 'Delete' button next to that image. |

Click 'Save' to finish creating the new Image Slideshow.
The new Slideshow will now appear in the Image Slideshow Manager. Select the radio button next to a Slideshow and click the preview button at any time to view the slideshow.
Editing an Image Slideshow
Editing an Image Slideshow must be done via the Image Slideshow Manager.
Select the radio button next to the Image Slideshow and select 'Edit' from the Manager Options menu on the left side of the screen.
All settings - as outlined in Creating an Image Slideshow - are now available.
- Selecting 'Cancel' will return to the Image Slideshow Manager with the last saved version.
- Selecting 'Save' will overwrite the previous version.
Image Slideshows may also be duplicted by selecting the radio button of a slideshow in the Manager and clicking 'Duplicate' from the Manager Options menu on the left side of the screen. This will create a second object with the same properties as the first. The name may be changed by accessing 'Metadata' for that slideshow. Any changes made to one slideshow will not affect other slideshows. Images contained in one slideshow are not duplicated with the slideshow. Any changes to individual images will affect all instances where those images appear.
To Insert the Image Slideshow to a page
Image Slideshows can not be inserted into other Articles or objects.
To insert a Slideshow onto a page you must be logged in with the administrator toolbar visible at the top of your screen.
- Open the page or Masterpage on which the Slideshow is to appear.
- Click the
button on the administrator toolbar.
- Select
in the location or section where the Image Slideshow will be located.
